Vocations workshop – Tafara

The Redemptorist Community in Tafara hosted a three day vocation workshop which started on Friday, December 17 and ended on Sunday, December 20. It was a group of 13 young men, vibrant and energetic who came from parishes within the Archdiocese of Harare. The majority of those who attended the workshop were Altar Servers, some had finished their secondary education while some are still in school. On the first day, they toured the community in Tafara, introductions were made and they familiarised themselves with the brothers and the environment. The second day saw the aspirants having talks on Redemptorist life, Spirituality and the Charism of the Congregation. They ended the day by watching a spiritual movie on Francis Xavier Seelos. The workshop was climaxed with the aspirants attending masses in our parishes having a taste of our apostolate. They attended masses in Mabvuku and Tafara. They departed after lunch.

Some were attending a vocation workshop for the first time, some had attended elsewhere but this one was a great experience for them. Many thanks to those who organised this workshop and those who worked tirelessly to make this a success. There is no doubt that they enjoyed the workshop and in future hopefully they will come and join us and become part of the Redemptorist family.
